Apple OFFICIALLY supports* Windows today!!! [UPDATE!]

As reported by Apple/Mac sites everywhere today (April 5th), such as
Macfixit
AppleInsider
ThinkSecret
MacRumors
Apple has begun to support Windows XP booting OFFICIALLY. That's right, not from the hack, but from Apple Computer!!! Better news? You only need to have XP Home, unlike the hack software which requires XP Pro!!!

NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS IN THE NEW INTELMACS!!!

You'll need to download 3 software: 1 call Boot Camp which is a beta ver. limited time trial licensed preview software, 1 is for the firmware update (there are 3 updates: 1 for Mac Mini, 1 for iMac, and 1 for MacBook Pro), and (optional download) 1 for the Uninstall of the above 2 software.

I strongly recommended users to read one of those sites listed above prior to installing, since these sites have quite detail info w.r.t. the boot camp software. And as you can see, this version of Boot Camp is a limited time trial licensed preview software (fancier words will be "preview software license for use on a trail basis for a limited time [Macfixit]"), which means that you may have to "pay" in order to dual boot after the license has expired. That reminds me: this is still a dual-boot release, meaning only ONE OS can be boot at a time (which, unlike Virtual PC, you can have WinXP running inside a OS X environment, hence 2 OS...well, sorta...running at the same time without having to shut down 1 before booting the other.).

Boot Camp will be included** in Leopard/OS X 10.5 (dunno if it's gonnabe a standard, no-pay or unlimited license, software).

*Officially, Apple doesn't provide any type of support for the installation, but it welcomes "feedback" from users downloading/using this software. But COME ON, as Judge Judy has always said, "if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck - IT'S A DUCK!!!" (Same logic - it's made by Apple, downloaded through Apple and included in OS X, then it's supported by Apple."
**VERY VERY VERY (MULTIPLY BY A GAZILLION TIMES) likely - those who buy IntelMacs, and esp. OS X 10.5, will pay for this software, every if it's $200 or so. Hack's good and free, but try it at your own risk - no warranty (and may void warranty by causing more trouble, as sites such as EveryMac have already discussed), troublesome (to some) download and installation procedures, re-install every time when updating OS X, needs XP Pro, etc. mean $200 is merely NOTHG to many Apple users/buyers.

[UPDATE] Macfixt has just pointed out a moment ago that if you've installed the hack in your IntelMac previously, you won't be able to install Boot Camp or its firmware update. Macfixit has suggested that "[In] in order to apply the firmware update, you must format your startup volume and use the default partition scheme, then re-install Mac OS X, then re-update to Mac OS X 10.4.6. [Macfixit]" Make sure you go over to Macfixit to check it out!!!
