Spring Break, Prince Kuhio Holiday & More...

Spring break was last week, then PK holiday was last Wednesday.  It was a very busy SB, even though semester had just completed.  There were a lot of work for the kids last semester (and I’m sure that there will be more), so some of the work got spilled over to the next - which meant, due the 1st week after SB.  🙁

In addition, Keko’a had to take his ACT too, and he had 4 ⚽️ matches with all of them over at Waipio.  Ma’e Ma’e, on the other hand, was more on the R&R side.  As a result, she got to enjoy some time shopping and eating.  She went to a 🏀 event at one of her team member’s home for almost an entire day, was going to 🏊🏻‍♀️ but decided not to when one other teammate’s 🐶 jumped into the pool immediately after 💩.  She had Shabuya with mama, the 2nd time for 🍲 this month, despite knowing that KAC 🏀 will start very soon 🤣.  On Wednesday they went to Dave & Buster for 1 last fun 1/2 price event at Ward; D&B will relocate to Ala Moana on April 1st.  They did rack up a lot of tickets, plus we got lucky at the claw machines since we went early (so it was all filled with good ones from Garfields).  In about 15 tries we got about 10 🧸. 

During PK holiday kids went to Waikiki beach with mama.  I was 🤧🤒 so resting at 🏡.  We then met up at 🍜 Go and both kids really like this place.  TBH I found that it’s probably the 2nd best 🍜 place on the 🏝.  This weekend (used to be an entire week thing) also started/ended the annual unofficial 🍜 special week too, so we went to Ringers Hut and Kamitoku to have their specials.  There were more restaurants last year, but with tourism way down here, we were lucky to have some to promote this unofficial event.  Keko’a liked K better (and so did we) and it was only 1/2 price of RH.  Ma’e Ma’e didn’t try either since “I already have 🍜 at Ramen Go on Wednesday so no more for me;” she had Chik-Fil-A.

Now on to some official business - proud parents of both Keko’a and Ma’e Ma’e’s accomplishment.

Keko’a got 35/36 at ACT!!!!🎊🎉🏆  That’s Ivy League 🏫 score.  The 1st thing he was thinking - do I need to do a retake to get 36? 😅

Both kids participated in the latest round of Oahu Science Bowl competition, got 2 🥇and 1🥉for their events, and overall 🏆 for KHS!  🎊🎉👍🏻👏🏻

Finally, Keko’a got 🥈 in photography section at the Hawaii PTSA’s “Reflection” competition - at the STATE level!  Ma’e Ma’e’s friend from Sandpiper/Hampton in California got 🥇 - also STATE level - in drawing section.  Let’s see what will happen in the national level this summer 😎
