Jack in the Box Bobba Milk Tea

TL;DR - 2 words: It Stinks.

 

Oah'u finally got the special drink, and Ma'e Ma'e tried it twice.  1st time she said it was pretty yummy, but there's something "wrong" with it (as compared to Taiwanese bobba milk tea place like Suger Tiger).  2nd time I tried it with her, and I said something, and her response was, "that's it!  That's what's wrong the 1st time too!"

Those Hawaiian workers probably didn't know what bobba milk tea was, so they really had no idea how to do it, unless, of course, they read and followed JITB's instructions on how to make it...which of course, they didn't.

They forgot to cook (or a better word for the JITB situation, MICROWAVE, or even microwave enough) the bobba!  As a result, most of the bobba were NOT chewy, but more like crumble when bit on them.  So some of the bobba were bottom line chewy, most weren't.

Taste wise, it's pretty good.  A little bit more on the sweet side and not enough tea bitterness.  Then again, for $5 (compared to $7-9 in Taiwanese places), it's ok - except for the bobba.
