Dole Plantation 🍍& Lappert's Hawaii (Waikiki) 🍦

It's a hot day - well, everyday's a hot day here - so what's better than Dole 🍍 whip?  It was a long weekend couple of weekends ago so why not go for a ride there, a location Ma'e Ma'e has asked about for the past couple of years?  It's reopened but vendors are much fewer than back in 2018.  A LOT FEWER.  There were quite many people but nothing compared to pre-COVID.  Food court has basically shut down (all indoor and some outdoor areas) and food availability was pretty much the simple ones plus soda and whip.

Well, there's another thing that could be as good as Dole whip - Lappert's Hawaii ice-cream.  Keko'a liked it a lot but not Ma'e Ma'e.  You see, she has 3 baby 🦷 yanked out so she was kinda complaining about pain.  Thus she's been picky and even stated that soft serve from Costco was better than LH!  I kinda agreed with her those based on the 2 licks that I've tried.  LH may have a tad more flavor but definitely not as creamy and not as "ice-cream" as Costco (it melted quickly).  A coincidence maybe - Yelpers have said something similar too recently!  Maybe the logistic issue has caught up with LH since it does have issue with its HQ in Hanapepe which is closed at the moment...🤔
