Kids were surprised again this year, but it's getting even tougher to be S.C. We were able to hide their S.C. presents - not only that, but by 1st presenting to them our fake S.C. presents: 2 Apple Earbuds with 3.5mm connection. Explained to them that they were looking for it during the online video school classes all the time and they misplaced them everyday, so S.C. was very thoughtful.
They didn't "buy" the reasoning thinking, "S.C. couldn't be that cheap" as they soon found out online that (1) Mama usually was the S.C., cheap version, (2) these were selling for $6 on eBay, and (3) (1) + (2) made perfect sense! So they searched and searched for 10 minutes, and disappointment started to sink in, until Ma'e Ma'e noticed something weird behind her "Talon Mini Arcade..."
And they started using it daily since then...
In addition to the S.C. presents, they've already picked their mama & papa presents a month before, with the exception of the POP! Snoopy Doghouse, which was a surprise to Keko'a too!
I got mine right before Christmas too with Best Buy selling the Solo Pro (new) for $149.99 (eBay refurbished cheapest at the time was $139.99 with another 15% off). Got one in light blue color. However, it's still too expensive for my taste so need to plan for a trip to Best Buy's Customer Service (Returns) before Jan. 16...and just stuck with my so far trusty Conambo instead at $15.99 😞 but hey, it does have ANC just to the B.S.P. though it's the worst version of ANC...
Mama also got a surprised present from S.C. It's the same H.K. Nissan Skyline GTR that Keko'a robbed from her earlier. Fortunately, I was able to find another one later on at just a tad more expensive price ($2 more).
With S.I.P. again we didn't really go to many places, except on Christmas eve we drove around the neighbor to check out all the lights decorations. Kids picked this one "the best" (I think that it's actually the worst because it's just too many without any thoughts on how to arrange all of them. But then, what do I know?).
But Christmas eve was also Keko'a birthday. We went to Nob Hill and Keko'a picked his own birthday cake. Ma'e Ma'e thought that hers the best (from her last birthday), and mama/Keko'a agreed. They both tasted bad if you asked me, because I dislike chocolate.
Ma'e Ma'e made a birthday card to Keko'a with a Crunch 🍫 enclosed inside. I think that it was expired though 😆
He also got (from mama and papa) a Lamborghini Lego set, a 1:32 Green Ranger Honda NSX (he picked from Walgreens), and to his surprise...a Red Ranger Nissan GTR & a B.T.T.F. Delorean that I bought online from this place Ferrara Market Inc. with 30% off and free shipping. But truth be told I would probably not buy from them again because all the toys I bought from them (6 or 8 total I forgot) were covered with dust and packaging conditions were really surprised with dents and broken plastic sleeves on all but 1 of them. Lucky that I bought most from Target too (at a higher price) so I was able to...😁
On the day after Christmas we visited Walmart (to return a waxer/polisher that I bought just in case if warranty info on Walmart website was incorrect on the bonus version of the same waxer), Target (next to Walmart), and Hallmark (for Christmas ornaments though only got a couple of loot lama). Kids spent time doing their school & G.E. works, plus watch the entire trilogy of B.T.T.F. They liked it a lot except with the many cuss words used back in the late 80's (which weren't considered bad at that time). As a result, Keko'a got a Delorean plush for kidrobot and he's been sleeping with it daily too. Of course, a lot of Hot Wheels from Target and Walmart. Surprisingly, he and I searched though, oh, must have been over 200 H.W. and 0 T.H.! He did, however, found a chase version of the old 50th anniversary (1 only in store) at the S.C. Hallmark. That's place's crazy expensive - $4.99 each (even Diddums sell for $1.99, with almost every other places < $1). Fortunately, Hallmark gals ok'ed to sell him for 1/2 price (still expensive but W.T.H. being the chase version).
Not planning to do much for New Year again because of S.I.P. but will probably head for another Walmart trip because of Krispy Kreme's 2 dozens for $12 😋 Too bad that we've missed the Christmas special on 12/12 (thanks DealNews for NOT reporting it), but here's what the Halloween specials looked like:
Also spent sometime on the Titan XD lights (just for show and not connected) so now it looks like a police truck! 😁👮🏻
