Last week"s" of summer (vacation) 😢

It's so boring for the past month and 1/2 for all of us, especially, that we sort of felt like that we've skipped summer entirely...

Well, at least we went to Kona...Or, should I say, KONA came to us 😉

Also got my Curt Class V trailer hitch installed at U-Haul.  Bought from Amazon initially for $218.99 + tax = $241, and tried to install it myself.  However, Amazon shipped me a damaged unit so I'd to return it, and thank goodness that I did.  Realized that it's heavy (55 lbs) when dry fitting it to the Titan XD so decided to get someone to put it on for me.  Was wondering who I could go to - for CHEAP - and probably decided on this place close by which I, through family friend's, kind of knew.  Then I suddenly remember U-Haul hitch install - kids' daycare when they were toddlers was just right by a U-Haul, and it used to have those "Hitch install for $99.99" sign in front.  Found out that U-Haul indeed sold the same hitch for $179.99 - an EXTREMELY LIKELY pricing mistake* - and $68 for installation (location dependent; range from $60 - $100.  Closest to me $100 right by daycare, and 16 miles away $68.  I figured, "shouldn't cost me $32 of diesel for 32 miles of driving").  I even tagged on U-Haul's $5 lifetime warranty**.  Thus, with taxes, $268!  No brainer if I only have to pay $28 more than Amazon but everything's included!

*U-Haul sells both the Class III and V for same price, but the III is price comparable with Amazon's price ($165).  Nevertheless, U-Haul's website put this as a choice of 2" Round or 2" Square - in terms of cosmetic styles, rather than their Classes!

**1 of those EXTREMELY RARE old time warranty in which everything on the hitch receiver (sans the mount or ball) was included - parts and labor too!  Nationwide!!  Canada too!!!  Includes all sort of damage from rust, ding, collision, misuse, etc.!!!!  Now I ain't worry about those misuse or collision because insurance will have to fix the Titan XD 1st, and will probably include the hitch, but RUST or DING!!!!!  More importantly, LABOR!!!!!!  CMF offers lifetime warranty but you've to ship the hitch receiver back to them yourself if Curt approves the claim, which means 🧭🧭🧭 AND 💸💸💸💸💸!!!!!!!  No question asked for just $5 (or $1/year for the entire Titan XD warranty)!!!!!!!!
