🏝Maui No Ka Oi

I don't even remember what number I should use for this trip.  Yeah, I do,

AMAZING! 😎👍👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🏊

Staying @ Wailea's Ekolu Village utterly this time, the place was NOT as wonderful as I was hoping.  It's still very good, but just not "excellent" like I was expecting.  You see, we booked an ocean view resort room with 2 bathrooms - the bathrooms part was great especially for the kids, now that they don't have to fight over who's using for how long during #2 time, but the ocean view was really partial ocean view (about 10%, counting the sky as you can see in the image below).  The majority of the view was the golf course.

There were also 2 days of late afternoon rain (not a problem) which resulted in the place's roof leaking - so we have to watch out of other potential leaks in order to avoid damage to our stuff.

6 things we did do this time (not in chronological order), but not previously

(1) House hunting - checked out 5-7 places.  A couple of them were "ok" but not good enough for us to say, let's put our $$$ down there.  These are all places in Kihei, but right next to Wailea.

(2) Snorkeling - like, seriously snorkeling in the middle of the ocean (Maui channel to be exact)!  We did this in 3 places - right outside of Lana'i to see dolphins (0 ☹️, but did see 2 turtles 😋 with one swimming right next to us - so close that we could've touched it but chose not to due to a $5K fines), Molokini to see coral and fish, and Turtle Cove to see turtle (1 🙂).  The Lana'i trip started from Lahaina harbor so we also went to Ka'anapali Beach afterwards.

The Molokini/Turtle Cove trip started from Ma'alea Harbor so we went shopping inside Maui Ocean Center/Aquarium afterwards (free admission for shopping, but just can't wonder off to see any of the exhibits).  One amazing thing during this trip was that - well, there was motor trouble with the boat, so the trip was late - then the captain overheard from his radio that a school of some 50+ melon headed whales were around the harbor area, so we went to check it out, and saw the herd!  Wow - whales in summer time, plus breaching of the whales, what else could one ask for??? 😎🤔

(3) Checked out the General Store and pie place @ Olowalu.  Ordered a couple of the infamous Shave Ice from the G.S.

(4) Went to Makena Landing, Big Beach, Little Beach, One'uli Beach (Black Sand Beach) and 'Ahihi-Kina'u Reserve.  Saw 1 big sea lion 😄👏 and 4 turtles ✌️ in these 4 places!

(5) Drove to (yes, we rented from Kihei Rent A Car for some B12 Sentra) Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, Maui Mall, Walmart, Target, and Costco for food and HOT WHEELS shopping (Keko'a was most happy for getting not 1, but 2, 17 Ford GT over there!!!) 😂

(6) Last but definitely MOST IMPORTANT, Keko'a got to check out the Kihei Public Library!!!🙌

Where else did we go?  Rainbow Mall + Kalama Village for food, and Whalers General Store in Shop @ Wailea for T-Shirts (new style, and cheapest on the island inside the most expensive/luxurious mall too!  7 for $20!)

Trip of a life time again?  You bet ya!

So we now have a very good idea where we'll be buying our next home in the next few months 😉
