RWC Christmas Carnival @ Downtown
Just like last year, so nothing "too" spectacular. However, we did get a couple of free T-shirts, and the kids each got a Teddy Bear (pretty big size) thanks to Kaiser Permanente. They did enjoy the ice/snow too!
During our trip to Costco, kids found this School Bus Play Center extremely additive. In all honesty, there's nothing much to play with on the display - just the pop-up roof, and the side "door" which also works as a chair. Costco's selling it @ $49.95, and I thought that it's expensive. However, a web search @ home showed that the minimum price is around $100, with most charge over $150! Kinda thought about buying one, BUT, if one pay attention to the picture illustration, then it's very obvious that this P.C. is ergonomically incorrect entirely. The min age for this P.C. is > 3 yr. old. Even Caitlyn, with < 25% growth (so around the height of a 3 y.o., even though she's 4 y.o. now), she has to duck or I have to pop the roof for her to sit straight. What's worst, the "chair" is too low, that even though the illustration is for sitting down to play with the toys that come with the P.C., the illustration shows that all one (kid) can do is to just "touch" the toys WITHOUT the ability to see the "roads" on the roof. In order to play with the roads/toys (those are car toys and traffic signs, all made of wood), the kid must stand up along side the P.C. to play. Verdict: Rip-off, but give kids 500% of imagination time with great pain afterwards on their bodies!
