San Francisco Zoo & LoafLoveTour.com

Thx to LoafLoveTour, we were able to get a family free admission to the SF Zoo.

It was fun. Leonard was excited 'bou the animals - Lions, Tigers, Penguins, Giraffes, Hippos, etc., so-and-so with Caitlyn. Truth was, she was too tired to be excited by 9 am. U c, we all got up around 7 am so that we could leave by 8:30 am (to my surprise, we were out the door, on our Cube*, driving, by 8:15 am). By the time we got to the zoo, it was 9:15 am, and boy, was I glad to be there early. With only 100 available free tickets (we needed 2 - for the 2 adults), they were pretty much gone by 9:30 am (when we got there, we were like the 30th people; by 9:30 am, a rush of people came and quickly reached over 100 people. When the zoo opened at 10 am, we just went in and had fun there. The most exciting thg 4 the 2 kids was the little puffer train - a total rip-off for $4/person (we paid $8 total, I didn't ride, and Caitlyn was free). It's a rip-off 'coz the train was not too long of a ride, multiply that by the SUPER HIGH SPEED on a little steam engine (I wonder if the driver was on some sort of medications or drinks), and it only went around twice. The entire ride was less than 5 min, and bloom, $8 gone.

We went to the Mountain View street festival today, and the kids got a lot of souvenirs. But their biggest joy was the 4 balloons they got! Leo played the KOFY TV game and got a free toy, a free bouncy ball at the tuitioncenter.com booth, as well as a free tote bag (biggest prize, sadly) when he played the spinning wheel @ KFOX radio station! That kid has some sort of luck with him. Us - NOTHING! :(

Auntie Maria and Uncle Mark came to visit us y'day evening. Leonard was v. excited 'coz he got a Disney MM Soccer Ball and a Toy Story 3 watch. To our biggest surprise, Caitlyn was very fond of Auntie Maria and she kept approaching AM to read her story books. I wonder if it's 'coz AM looks kinda like "Bebe" (my mom, Caitlyn's granny)?

Well, Leo is going to see his next surprise - Pizza nite TONITE!

*Was gonna drive our LEAF, but wifey wanted to go to various places in San Francisco & have lunch there (and we did)...with the hilly terrains, and almost 85% fwy driving, I don't wanna go into turtle mode despite a full 100% charge to begin with (and 116 mi range).
