Cost of a baby...plus the planning for future
Yup. It's expensive. The hospital, medications, daycare...if u don't have a job that pays you over $60K WITH insurance, don't consider having a kid, or you'll just lead him/her to a very cloudy future. Moreover, u still haven't consider the toys - now I'm going cheap here, only buying clearance, but baby doesn't know :) - and then college funds (529 plan or custodial investment account). Actually, let's put it this way; if you don't make over $70/yr, forget 'bou having kids!
Worst of all - no sleep! For the past 3 months, I've been averaging 6+ hr of sleep per day, and this is from a person who requires 8+ previously. Wife's even worse - 5+ hrs (also used to be an 8+ hr person). Not to mention the crying, of 'coz...
Recent announce Bandai upcoming release of SD Char Counterattack set is actually a r-o (rip-off), in the sense that the pkg is cheap with 7 SD Gunplas (about 2400 yen with discount from Rainbow Ten). Now why, u may asked? Well, these are all characters from the 1 gen SD Gundam that were released over 10 years ago! They are like the 1st batch and original design. Some body may like the fact that they are original, but if you've ever put together the original ones (I did - Z plus A1) - the quality is pretty bad, really requires painting even though it says it doesn't, very few movable joints and weapons, and extremely NOT detail! Compare the 1st gen Nu (which this set comes with) to the latter Nu (HWS), or the Z-plus A1 to the Z (#198). BIG...HUGE...differences. OTOH, the price of the set is cheaper than buying individually, and the 1st gen can shoot weapons (which is why they are no longer welcomed by parents - kids eating or stuffing those "bullets" into their mouth/nose/ear/whatever).
Weather is getting warm...Spring is finally coming. Will have more time to bring baby outside soon.
