Several Gundam-Related News.

Well, the 1st one is actually an "OLD" news. Back in, oh, I dunno, sometime last year? There was info from HobbyShop Midori 'bou the pending release of HY2M 1/12 RX-78 Gundam. At the time, only a plastic molding (of slight oranglish color) was shown on a few pics. Well, a couple of days ago, as reported by blogs such as Gunota and my own buddy from RainbowTen, Bandai has finally released confirmation of the 1/12 model, RX-78-2. Info can be seen here and here. As you can see, it's the same size of the Zaku2 released almost 3-5 years ago, and from that "babe" who took the picture as a "model" wih the Gundam, this HY2M 1/12 RX-78-2 is almost as tall as she is! In fact, the height of the Gundam is 1.5m long! It has slight movement (arms, legs, head), and can produce sound (beam rifle + some other sounds) and light (eyes + vulcan gun + main camera - between the V-shaped antenna). The price this time, however, has gone up significantly. Back in the Zaku release, it was only ~208000 yen (~ US$2000). This release will be 350000yen (~ US$3300)! I don't think it's worth it (not because I don't like it, but because of the huge price increase, yet the 2 are virtually the same thing with different "outside" molding). It'll be released in either Nov. or Dec. of this year.

Another pcs of news is on the PS3 "Target In Sight" video game. Yes, PS3 isn't out yet, so only thing (or things) you can see is the official website where they have a flash movie as the intro (and it's the ONLY thing on the website right now) and some youtube movies. Unfortunately, other than some "stunning" graphics (but most are still very rough due to the fact that this game is in no where near completion), no info can be said 'bou its gameplay and speed. Unfortunately, again, I don't think it's a worth it situation - how many OYW PS"X" games do we have now? Or more importantly, how many OYW "strategic" + "shooting" OYW do we have now? If it's just for the graphics as the reason to go for this game, then you know...you just got whipped by BandaiNamco's lame marketing strategy! Where is the re-release of Gundam CCA game that I've been waiting for since the release of PS2?
