Trip to Vancouver, BC, Canada
I saw a R32 GT-R (Nissan Skyline) on the street of Vancouver/Burnaby! For those of you who don't know, the GT-R is like "god" of all sports cars in Japan. There is a 15 years embargo to import vehicles into Canada, and the R32 has just surpassed this embargo (the latest is called R34, and it probably won't be import 'til 201X).
The food (Chinese/Asian/Malaysian/Thai) is great. I mean, GREAT!!!!!!!! Nothing in N. America can touch the "regular" standard of Vancouver's restaurant. Thgs have, however, gone on much more expensive (like, daily stuff), but as far as food goes, cheap cheap cheap!
A lot of Corollas are being used as taxi cab, but rarely any Hybrids for any type of usage. Strange! My buddy told me that this is due to the lack of Cdn. gov't support on hybrid vehicles (such as tax rebate).
Last but not least, the amount of Chinese have gone up sharply too! That's a good thg, since Vancouver's indeed a great city, esp. for retirement. Unfortunately, they did bring some of the "ugly" culture over to the beautiful city - like hanging their clothes way up in the sky (2nd floor of their houses), hence everyone can see their clothes and blocking their neighbors' views :(
